Good Poster Review
1. The movie title is in red and stands out from the blue backround
2. All of the main protagonists are shown on the poster but the main character is shown in more detail than the other people.
3. I think that the movie poster is a bit misleading because the background is showing buildings at very different angles which could make people think that the film is about a messed up reality.
4. The only other images in the picture are the buildings in the background but they make the poster look more interesting.
5. There is a slogan on the poster "Your Mind is the Scene of the Crime" which relates to the plot of the film where extractors can get information from your mind while you are put to sleep.
6. Just the normal text at the bottom of the poster saying who the directer's and the producer's where and any other people who deserved a mention on the poster.
7. I do think that this poster is very effective and makes you want to go watch the film because it takes a new idea on how to get you hooked on a film.
1. The movie title is featured in the poster at the bottom
2. The main character is shown on the front but that is it, no other characters are shown on the poster
3. The poster is following the theme of the movie by keeping it dark as the film has a lot of scenes that are dark.

Research into Slinkachu
Slinkachu is a street artist and a photographer, he is 28 and and lives in the Untied Kingdom.
Slinkachu started his little people project in 2006, the idea was to put train model set people that had been repainted and put into environment that looks like the little people are doing activities. Slinkachu uses the macro setting on a camera to get the right focus and to see more detail of the little person and less of the environment.

Muybridge motion studies
In a lesson we tried to recreate Muybridge's motion studies by putting a line of 4 camera's and taking picture in the right interval to get the same kind of effect.
3 Light Set Up
Today we tried to take some professional pictures using the 3 light set up technique. We had to take a picture and to be in a picture.

Pinhole camera obscura
Today we attempted to try a camera obscura. We started off by cutting of one third of it and then put some tissue paper and put the cap back on. Then we put both ends back together and used masking tape to reattach them. After that we poked a hole at the bottom of the can and then we put foil over the can to block any light while putting masking tape to cover any places left by the foil.
Muybridge motion studies
As a group we tried to recreate Mutbridge's motion studies by putting four camera's in the same position up a line and took picture at the right intervals to create a moving image from different pictures. We had four pictures that had the same shutter speed and took the pictures before the subject came in to view.

Daguerreotype
1. Can you find Image evidence of the technique?
2. When was it first discovered and by whom?
It was first discovered by Louis Daguerre together with Joseph Nicephore Niepce in the 19th century.
3. What is special about the technique?
The technique is famous for the extremely long shutter exposure which would roughly take around 10 minutes to process the image then the process to make the actual image would take even longer due to the immense amount of chemicals and labour.
4. How does this technique work? Can you find or describe the processes needed to make it work? Maybe illustrate how it is made.
The most simple process is Silver+iodine+light=Photgraph but it takes a more time and labour for a beginner.
Step 1. Start with a silver plated piece of copper and polish it to a close as mirror finish as possible.
Step 2. You need to sensitize the plate. Place the plate into a box containing a shallow tube filled with iodine crystals. After a few minutes take the plate out and it should be a purplish blue.
Step 3. Put the sensitized plate into your cameras film holder.
Step 4. Use a well lit room and choose and object that is very stationary because of the long shutter time that would normally take around 1 minute to 7 minutes.
Step 5. In a Darkroom, remove your exposes plate and tap a sheet of AmberLith film on top. Seal the edges with light proof tape and place it in the sun for two hours.
Step 6. Now it’s time to wash your plate. Mix up a hypo clearing agent in a developing tray, place the plate into a solution-filled tray.
.
5. Can you comment how important this technique has been for the history of photography? For example was it popular and is it still used today?
This technique has been a major influence over photography making it possible to take pictures and making them last for so much longer than previous attempts to make a photo stay on the material than just fading away.

Colour Photography
1. Can you find Image evidence of the technique?
2. When was it first discovered and by whom?
The first colour photograph was produced by a Scottish physicist that used a three colour method in 1861.
3. What is special about the technique?
This method is famous because you had to take a normal black and white photo then you has to pass the black and white through three colour filters that would make the colour photo in three primary colours.
4. How does this technique work? Can you find or describe the processes needed to make it work? Maybe illustrate how it is made.
You take your black and white picture and pass it through three colour filters that will make the colour image that will have three primary colours in it.
.
5. Can you comment how important this technique has been for the history of photography? For example was it popular and is it still used today?
This technique was the first to produce a colour picture but because the process is so time consuming that it could not be put into practical use and is not used in today’s colour picture production.
